Updated, Tommy Died today.

What bothers me about this story are the tweets and messages that were sent out just shortly before this incident.

{Hey Family…I thank you all for all your prayers…God heard you!!!,” he wrote. “My doctor was a little surprised that I was stronger than anticipated for an old fat fart replacing a knee. He said he knew the knee was bad but after opening me up it was much worse than he thought, but God is good!

“I passed the test and was released a day earlier! I’m in a little pain which is expected after a major surgery but I started [therapy] this morning and on my way to recovery! Thanks for your prayers and words of encouragement! Love y’all!!! #thepowerofprayer #kneereplacement #recovery #therapy #blessed #newday #godisgood.”}

“Martin” star Tommy Ford is on life support in an Atlanta hospital after an aneurysm ruptured in his abdomen.

Conflicting reports indicate the actor has passed away, but his family told TMZ that Tommy is still alive, but his health is declining.

The actor, who famously played “Tommy” in the popular ’90s sitcom, was hospitalized on Sunday. TMZ reports that he “is not expected to make it through the day.”…

Earlier in day, pal Anthony Anderson tweeted that Tommy had passed, creating confusion. He has since taken down the tweet.

Tommy’s wife, Gina Ford, told TMZ “the family is still praying for him.”

As many were inaccurately reporting his death, “The Steve Harvey Show” actress Terri Vaughn tweeted, “TOMMY FORD has NOT passed!! He’s not doing well at all. Keep praying FOR A MIRACLE!!!!”

Tommy, 52, starred in all five seasons of “Martin.” In addition to the sitcom, Tommy had roles on “New York Undercover” and “The Parkers.” According to his official website, he is in the process of filming a documentary….

IS GOD STILL GOOD? Is he still good even though you’re on your death bed?

Tommy Just stated LAST WEEK that God was good and that he answered prayers. Well who was praying for his untimely death? Because THAT is the ONLY prayer that his god seems to be answering. His praises for his god didn’t go on deaf ears. It’s out there for all to see. People will remind you of what you said. And I’m here to remind you of what was bragged about. STOP BRAGGING about this stuff.

If god is good when he does what you want, then he should be good when he does what HE WANTS. I get annoyed with Christian folks who brag about the goodness of God. They walk around like they have this HOOKUP line to Jesus, but all you have is an inflated ego about how important you THINK you are. I’m Atheist and I will die someday. SO WILL YOU! NOBODY escapes death.

And the nerve of you to pray when god has a PLAN for everyone. Lol then what’s the point of prayer? If he/she knows everything, what are you praying for? Trying to make your will line up with his? Well that’s debatable as well. I thought that EVERYTHING WAS DONE ACCORDING to God’s purpose. Then what are you praying for?

You cannot win. Not with God. No matter what you do, HE IS IN CONTROL. So what’s this all about?

Why don’t we just celebrate the life of people instead of putting religion over their lives? When you post shit like this, you make yourself look stupid. STOP it!

IF YOU insist on being a Christian then just say, IF GODS WILL THIS OR THAT WILL HAPPEN. That way you don’t feel out of tune with what is going on.

I see people reaching out for prayer all the time. That’s fine if you insist. But ultimately what you’re saying is, I don’t trust God to do right by me and make decisions for me, therefore I’m going to get his people to stack up against him and hopefully change his mind about my situation.

Listen people, prayers don’t work. It’s the luck of the draw. If medicine can’t save you, you’re not going to survive.

Praying makes it seem like you have power and control over your destiny. Your destiny and fate are two different things. Destiny is how you live, FATE is your Death. We all have a certain fate. And we create our own destiny.

If Tommy can’t get the medical attention that he needs and if doctors are powerless and his body won’t heal itself, he will die. That’s what happens to all of us. No matter your beliefs. It’s not because you pray more fervently. It’s not because you tithed more or attended more church services. You will die when modern medicine can’t help you.

I loved watching Tommy and Pam on Martin. He was a funny guy and a handsome man. I’m happy that I had the chance to see him act and he made me laugh.

My condolences go to the family ahead of time. Reports are not saying he’s died. But very near.
