Here are some complaints from BBB OR RIP OFF REPORT

Defective Product Sold I purchased a car through OKCarz aka Mid Florida Financing. As I was aware the dealership is a internal finance used car dealer. We purchased a 2011 Hyundai Elantra and immediately had a mechanical issue with the vehicle not starting correctly and steering was loose. Their mechanic told us the serpentine belt needed to be replaced, which they did, but the steering was just because the vehicle is older. As we drove the vehicle over the next few months the steering became worse and starting making a loud clicking/rattling noise when you hit a bump. We contacted the dealership again about this issue and was instructed to have their mechanic take a look at the vehicle again. This time we were told the mechanism that steers the car is defective and needs to be replaced and is a serious safety concern. I brought this to OKCarz and MFF attention, to which they said I would have to take care of it myself. Their words exactly were “that’s the chances you take on buying a used car”. I pointed out to them that if you’re going to sell a car as two times**************** value, you should take responsibility for MAJOR vehicle issues. The warranty manager Ron pointed out to me that the car was well out of warranty and they would not cover any costs. He then instructed me to go buy a New car so we can have a full warranty on a car. Which we would love to do, but we were too far upside down in a defective car that we can’t trade in, because of OKCarz and Mid Florida Financing shady business deals. We were in good standing financially with them and have returned the car.

Desired Outcome

I would like the company to: 1 – Void the purchase contract 2 – Remove any information from the credit reporting services. 3 – Return the down payment made on the vehicle.

See below. I was a victim to predatory lending and in an good effort to comply despite the obvious Mi-Florida Finance exercised an repossession option on the vehicle purchase without true delinquency or default. And to add insult to injury the loan is still reporting as missed payments when the car was repossessed six weeks ago to date 11/17/19. The customer service is disrespectful and postured to suggest failure on the part of the customer from the onset. (Vehicles are being sold in unfair condition according to law)

Desired Outcome

To close loan and report repossession as of the actual taken the car was seized by Mid-Florida Finance.

These complaints shouldn’t be happening so soon after getting a used car.
